Japanese pheasant moving with a high speed gliding
@A pheasant, a bird of the short-arm and the split-wing, moves with a high speed gliding, after it makes the emergency takeoff and goes up almost vertically with quick beating. A pheasant should nose-dive as changing from the beating flight to the gliding, since the load per wing area is much large and so the minimum gliding velocity should be large. Such a quick moving is similar to that of a flying squirrel. (Prod. Nov. 2004, scale 1/2, No.1)
