Black kite soaring in thermal ascending current

@Black kite flies in a circle in the sky, by canceling the descent velocity of the gliding with the velocity of the thermal ascending current, and by inclining the wing a little and by twisting the tail sometimes.
@We remind the wooden bird carving with spreading wing that has been excavated in almost perfect shape from the Shijo-ruins in Kashihara Nara (the first half in 6th century). Looking at the black kite that flies up rapidly only by the spreading wing and disappears into the clouds, we can imagine the feeling of the people in the Yamato Imperial Court ages who would guess the flight to Heaven. This wooden bird carving may be the root of the bird carving with flying pose in Japan. (Prod. Jan. 2004, scale 1/2, No.2)
